Devotionals or Bible Study (for the benefit of Growth Group Leaders):

Option 1 - Knowing Jesus Speaking Jesus - These studies are accessible and aimed at generating conversation and evangelism. Each week there is a ‘Knowing Jesus’ and ‘Speaking Jesus’ section as we move from God’s word to his world.

Option 2 - What in the world is Jesus doing? These studies are more in depth and have leaders notes included.

Both studies can be downloaded below, note that Option 1 is a zip file with individual docs for each study and Option 2 is a single document.

Both sets of studies don’t follow the preaching program exactly. 

To aid in your leading and preparation for studies, there are leaders notes by Toni Lindeback based off William Taylor’s talks that act as a commentary on Acts. They can also be downloaded below.

Keep in mind that it is the intention that LMAP look at progressive sections of Acts over the coming years.

Commentary suggestions (for the benefit of Growth Group Leaders and Preachers):

• David G. Peterson, The Acts of the Apostles. Pillar, Grand Rapids: Eerdmanns, 2009.
• Bruce Milne, Acts – witnesses to him. Focus on the Bible, Great Britian: Christian Focus Pub.

Note: A key and popular scholar who has done a lot of work on the Acts of the Apostles is R. Albert Mohler Jnr. He is a reformed Southern Baptist and his work is excellent. He has received some recent flack and push back for his comments on the roles of women in leadership and vocational ministry. Whilst that topic is not specifically addressed in Acts, it might be helpful to be aware if this background if you choose to use some of his resources.
