Friday April 24th A Tour of Scheyville National Park. Including a historic site with a diverse past: farming, military, migration, education followed by lunch in the area.
Scheyville Camp precinct is a fascinating heritage area. We will see restored buildings, remnants of structures long fallen, and uncover their unique history through interpretive signs. This area has a strong historical value: it was a time of great change in many lives including Dreadnought boys, post-world 11 migrants or National Service officers during the Vietnam War. The site is a legacy to these people.
This is a medium accessibility area. You can walk as far or as little as you wish. There are toilets, drinking water and picnic tables (for morning tea: please bring your own). We will have lunch at Lynwood Golf club.

Please let us know if you are willing to drive and if you are a passenger please be willing to contribute to fuel costs.
