Revival Prayer Group

This group meets each Thursday morning at Glenbrook Church Hall, from 5.00 – 6.30am (arrive and leave as you need to).
The time-slot was chosen originally to suit guys who started work insanely early, but it actually fits in well before the normal morning routine and so is family/work-friendly. It does take some discipline in winter. There’s nothing inherently spiritual about pre-dawn, but there is an aliveness at that hour once you switch on.

The format is almost all prayer. Sometimes a specific prayer point is shared. The change over time in the focus of our prayers has been significant. We started by praying for revival/renewal in the community and churches of the Lower Mountains. This narrowed in on our parish and congregations, and finally, on ourselves, in confession and calling on God to revive us individually. Someone has said if you want to see revival, draw a circle on the ground, step into it, and pray for revival within the circle.

All welcome from within and outside the parish – just drop in at any time between 5 and 6:30am.
